Single cans, packs or a mix box? How our pack discounts work

There are three ways to buy pouches from us: one can at a time, a pack of identical cans, or a ten-can mix box. Each is priced differently, and the discounts are fixed and predictable rather than hidden in a sale. This guide explains each option with worked examples, then shows how codes, free shipping and the minimum order fit around them.

The examples use a can priced at €4.50. If a product's price changes, the percentages stay the same and your basket always shows the exact figures before you pay.

Option 1: single cans

A single can is the simplest choice and the right one when you are trying a flavour for the first time. There is no discount on one or two cans of the same product, but you are free to fill a basket with as many different single cans as you like.

Single cans count towards the €30 minimum order like everything else. Seven single cans at €4.50 come to €31.50, which clears it.

Option 2: packs of identical cans

A pack means several cans of exactly the same product — same brand, same flavour, same strength. On every product page you can choose 1 can, a 3 pack, a 5 pack or a 10 pack, and the price and saving update as you choose.

The discount is set by fixed thresholds:

Two details are worth knowing:

• The thresholds are steps, not a sliding scale. Six identical cans are still 5% off (€27.00 → €25.65), not 6%. The discount moves to 10% only at ten.
• It is counted per product. Three cans of PABLO Grape Ice and three of PABLO Pear are two products with three cans each, so each earns the 3% step. Three different flavours, one can each, do not make a pack — that is what mix boxes are for.

Packs suit anyone who has found a product they like and uses it regularly. Ten cans is also a sensible amount to store; our storage guide explains how to keep unopened cans fresh.

Option 3: mix boxes

A mix box is ten cans from one brand, in any combination of that brand's flavours and strengths, at 10% off. At €4.50 a can, ten cans cost €45.00 before the discount and €40.50 in a mix box — the same saving as a 10 pack, without having to choose a single flavour.

For each brand you can either:

• pick our ready-made selection, put together to show the range — for example the CUBA Mix Box's ten different flavours, or the Snowman Mix Box with its six 12 mg flavours; or
• build your own from that brand's range, ten cans in any mix you like, including several of the same flavour.

Packs or a mix box: which saves more?

At ten cans, both save 10%. The difference is what you get:

• a 10 pack is ten of one product — best when you know what you want;
• a mix box is ten from one brand, mixed — best when you want variety.

Below ten cans, only packs carry a discount, so three or five of a favourite is the better buy than three or five different flavours.

A single basket can contain all three: a mix box, a 5 pack of something else and a couple of single cans. Each line is priced by its own rule; a can that is part of a mix box does not also earn a pack discount.

How codes stack on top

Codes come after the pack or mix-box price and are applied one after another, each to the already reduced amount, rather than added together. That keeps the arithmetic honest and means every code is worth exactly its percentage of what you are actually paying at that point.

The codes you may have include:

• the welcome discount for new subscribers on a first order;
• a creator's code from someone you follow;
• a monthly code sent to newsletter subscribers.

Example: a 10 pack at €40.50 with a 10% monthly code becomes €40.50 − €4.05 = €36.45. If a second code applies, it takes its percentage off €36.45, not off the original price. The basket lists every step — pack saving, each code, the total you saved and the final price — so you can check the figures before paying. Each code has its own conditions (for example, the welcome discount is for a first order and each code has a limited number of uses), and the basket tells you if a code cannot be used and why.

Free shipping from €100

Delivery is free when your products come to €100 or more after every discount. Below that, the delivery charge is shown in the basket before you pay. A progress bar in the basket shows how far you are from free delivery as you add items.

Examples at €4.50 a can:

• two 10 packs: 2 × €40.50 = €81.00 — €19.00 short of free delivery;
• three 10 packs: 3 × €40.50 = €121.50 — delivered free;
• two mix boxes and a 5 pack: €40.50 + €40.50 + €21.38 = €102.38 — delivered free.

Because the threshold is measured after discounts, a code that takes you from €104 to €94 also takes you below free delivery. The basket recalculates as soon as anything changes.

The €30 minimum order

Orders start at €30 of products after discounts; delivery does not count towards it. If your basket is below the minimum, it shows how much is missing. A single 10 pack (€40.50) or a mix box clears it on its own; a 5 pack (€21.38) needs a couple of single cans or another pack alongside it.

Three worked baskets

Here is how the rules play out on whole baskets, again at €4.50 a can. Your basket shows the same breakdown, line by line.

Basket 1 — a regular with a favourite, plus something new

With a 10% monthly code, 10% of €66.38 is €6.63, leaving €59.75. That clears the €30 minimum comfortably and is €40.25 short of free delivery.

Basket 2 — variety, delivered free

A 10% creator code takes €12.15 off, leaving €109.35 — still over €100, so delivery is free.

Basket 3 — just trying things

Three different single cans come to €13.50. There is no pack discount (they are different products), and the basket is €16.50 below the €30 minimum, so the basket says so and checkout waits until you add more. Turning one of them into a 5 pack (€21.38) plus the other two singles (€9.00) brings it to €30.38.

Price per pouch

Cans do not all hold the same number of pouches, so when you compare value, divide the can price by the pouch count. At the same can price of €4.50:

A pack or mix-box discount then lowers each of those by its percentage. Prices can differ between products, so always check the actual price on the product page; the arithmetic is the same.

Common mistakes

• Expecting a pack discount on mixed flavours. Packs are identical cans only. For a mix, choose a mix box.
• Counting free delivery before codes. The €100 threshold is measured after every discount, so a large code can move a basket below it.
• Thinking six cans earn 6%. The steps are fixed: 3, 5 and 10.
• Buying more than you can keep fresh. A 10 pack is great value if you will use it; if you will not open the last can for months, a 5 pack may suit you better. See our storage guide.
• Mixing up lines in a mix box. In brands with several strengths — K#RWA, Snowman, 51 Pouches, NOIS — a build-your-own box can mix strengths. Check each can's mg per pouch as you add it.

Questions and answers

Do 6 identical cans get 6% off?

No. The discount works in fixed steps: 3 or more identical cans get 3%, 5 or more get 5%, and 10 or more get 10%. Six cans get 5%.

Can I combine a mix box discount with a code?

Yes. The mix-box price comes first, then each code is applied in turn to the already reduced amount. The basket shows every step.

Does free shipping use the price before or after discounts?

After. Delivery is free when your products come to €100 or more after every discount.

Can I mix brands in a mix box?

A brand mix box is ten cans from one brand. Our Empire boxes are fixed selections that combine several brands.
